Delphic Families: This evening, a tree in front of our school was struck by lightning. While we are thankful no one was injured, we now have a little less shade out front, and appears a couple of vehicles sustained minimal damage.
Please rest assured that the incident poses no danger to students or staff, and school will continue as usual tomorrow.
The tree will remain where it's at until we have a chance to talk to our insurance.
Thank you,
Jake

Our volleyball season is starting soon!
Please see the following message from coach Amber Verry:
Please advise the students in grades 4-8 that the first week of Volleyball practices will be Monday (8/25), Wed (8/27), & Thursday 8/28 at 4:15 - 5:30 for all students who wish to participate.
The first week will be used to gauge players' skills to place them on the A or B team. No more than 12 players will be selected for the A team to allow for a competitive season. Volleyball teams are usually between 8 and 12 players. Last season, the A team had 15 rostered players, and the B team had 14. This resulted in players who did not get sufficient "ball touches" during practice, and game time was limited for each player. This year, the following will be strictly followed:
Students must attend the first week to be considered for the team. If students cannot attend the first week of practice, parents can call or text me prior to the first week of practice at 530-518-5233 to arrange for alternative options.
Students must attend practices to be considered eligible to play in games that same week. If students are chronically absent, they will be removed from the team.
The Code of Conduct must be followed. Failure to comply will result in 1-2 warnings, depending on severity, before the student is removed from the team. Disruptions during practice/games due to code violations will not be tolerated.
